What should I do if I do not know the exact date of last occurrence?
(i.e. the date of last occurrence was originally provided in one of the following formats "day/month/year", "month/year" or "year" and now, the format "year/month/day" is used)
Please check whether this information is available in
Handistatus II,
WAHIS or your national database. When relevant, you can enter the last day of the month if you know the month, or the last day of the year if you only know the year.
Note that dates in WAHIS have the format "year/month/day" and that during data migration from the former WAHIS to the new one, data was converted accordingly. The rule used was the following: if the day or the month was not originally provided, the last day or month of the period was used for the date of last occurrence. For example, the value "01/2010" was converted to "31/01/2010" and the value "2010" was convered to "31/12/2010".
Please remember that Members' Delegates may request to the WOAH data rectification if relevant and well documented.
